The way of the Warrior is the path to discipline, restraint, focus and honour. The path is governed by morals and codes which allow those who walk it to live a life of wellness.
I’ve recently taken an interest in philosophy and wisdom from the likes of Stoicism, Buddhism, Sun Tzu, Miyamoto Musashi, Ryan Holiday and Robert Greene to name a few. These ancient wisdom's and teachings have allowed me to view the world differently and accept Dokkōdō.
Those who walk alone accept the way of the Warrior which is the resolute acceptance of death. …
Anyone who has dealt with a Narcissist before knows that it is a full time emotionally draining and mentally taxing job. You can never be fully prepared for it, Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) categorised as Cluster B Personality Disorders — according to the American Psychiatric Association, is a serious mental disorder where an individual has an inflated sense of self, a deep need for excessive attention, admiration and lacks empathy for others. They wear a mask of extreme confidence but underneath lies a fragile self-esteem that is vulnerable to even the slightest criticism.
At their very core, they are pathologically…
In the desert, you can remember your name ’cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain — America (band)
What is this feeling, where am I? I ask bewildered as a vast desert surrounds me, with its barren landscape, full of dust, sand and deep curves. I can’t remember my name or how I even got here, I feel lost, confused and unaware of my surroundings.
Why am I here?
How did I get here?
What is the meaning of all this?
I look to my left and see a horse, just causally standing there. …
Let me start off by saying I do not actually enjoy running, I don’t enjoy the physicality of it and it’s absolutely not my favourite form of exercise or sport.
“Hold on, hold on mate, wait a minute, is this guy for real?”
“What is this guy on about? The title of the post insinuates running made a positive change in his life but he’s started off by saying he dislikes it? What type of Jedi mind trick is this?”
I know, paradoxical right? But bear with me for a second….‘let me land’ as the kids like to say. …
Mid last year Kanye West announced his upcoming partnership with GAP by tweeting a potential logo for the collaboration. 2020 saw both power-houses agree on a 10-Year deal for a Yeezy Gap apparel line. But with almost a year gone by and no real show pieces or big announcements from either party, it’s starting to feel like this union might not be all that we’d hoped for.
It has been a troubling year for Kanye & GAP, with the whole Trump drama and ongoing divorce from celebrity wife Kim Kardashian, together with GAP’s identity crisis and decline in global sales…
To date, I’ve written eighteen articles (including this one) on Medium and made a couple hundred dollars from my efforts, nice pocket change but a far cry from quitting your day job money.
I would love to make a ton of money from my writing, who wouldn’t? But no sweat, I just plan to keep writing and getting my content out there.
In all honesty though, I didn’t get into writing for the money. In fact, that was the last thing on my mind.
I simply wanted a place to express myself and share my thoughts, stories and ideas.
A narcissistic family cult is a unit of highly dysfunctional people that comprise abusers, victims and enablers. Within this unstable and defective unit, there are rules which you are expected to follow. Failure to follow these rules results in severe punishment.
This punishment is to inflict emotional wreckage on a victim to get them to give up on their sense of self through intense coercive control. Through this control, a victim submits and accepts the false image the family portray and is then trauma bonded to the cult.
Usually, within a Narcissistic family cult, there is a tyrannical leader, who…
Cloud services are growing rapidly, especially with the increased need for businesses to provide increased resources and remote working. Most organisations are opting for a Cloud solution from one of the three major Public Cloud providers; Google, Microsoft and Amazon.
Over the past year, we’ve seen more and more businesses respond to the change in normal day to day services, to adopt a Cloud-driven approach. This has allowed businesses the opportunity to modernise their IT environment and deliver improved digital experiences and cloud capabilities with increased scalability, agility and maximised efficiency.
With all these added benefits, who wouldn’t want to…
2020 was an absolute shocker, a year to never forget to say the least. Who would have thought it would go down like that? I mean, nobody could have predicted that apart from the conspiracy theorists but even they had their socks blown off with that one!
I remember the ending of 2019 with everyone and their dog, stating 2020 would be their year and a monumental one at that. But Mother Nature has her way of showing you who’s the boss and I guess she was exhausted with us taking her for granted and simply shut up shop. …
When we’re laughing, nothing else matters, all of our worries and problems seem to disappear like a balloon in the sky. It’s like laughter brings forth forgetfulness amongst other good qualities. So why is it we don’t laugh more often?
When I’m laughing, I’m not thinking about yesterday's problems or tomorrow's fears, they just don’t exist. When I’m laughing I’m living in the present moment, especially when I am having a right old belly laugh. If you know me you know I have a very humorous, infectious, and loud laugh that instantly makes those around me laugh too.
